The Impressions
I Keep
Selected Works 2021—2025 shot by William Deane

I come from a background in audio engineering and multimedia, and I bring that same attention to rhythm, texture, and detail into my photography. My work is about people — the impression someone makes on me in a single moment.

Whether I am working in a studio or on the street, I am drawn to the quiet frequencies between us: a glance, a gesture, the stillness before someone lets themselves be seen.
To me, photography means capturing the impression someone makes on me. Not the person exactly, but the way they occupied the room, the silence they carried, the question in their eyes.
I photograph because I want to keep what I felt in a moment. Every image is a conversation between the light, the room, and the person generous enough to be still for me.

Coming soon.
